Learn How to Care for Your Airsoft Vests
Airsoft vests should be easy to care for and in most situations are. Depending on the type of material they are made of, you should be able to wipe most dirt off with a damp cloth and then allow to air dry. But, if there is caked on mud or other stains on the vest or it has started to smell really bad you might want to do more washing to it. The question is, can you just throw them in family washing machine without damaging or destroying them?
Before You Wash Airsoft Vests in the Machine
Like any other article of clothing, read the care label for the vests before you toss them into the machine. If it says, hand wash or wipe clean only it is probably risky to try to machine wash them. Depending on the type of material that is involved, it could tear or worse, completely fall apart. However, if the vest is already so dirty or smelly that you cannot stand it, then it is a tossup for whether you want to take that risk or not. In some cases, it might be just better to go ahead and try it and hope for the best.
Before you do throw it in the washing machine, fasten the snaps, buttons or zipper to keep the vest closed so that it does not snag on anything. Then flip the vest inside out which might protect it further during the washing process. Use gentle detergent and the gentle cycle and wash it with clothing that is unlikely to snag or tear it, such as towels or other gentle items. When the vest is finished, remove it from the machine and check that it is not damaged in any way. It should be hung to dry or better yet, laid flat to dry so that it does not get indentations. If there is damage, assess to see if it can be repaired or if the vest will need to be replaced.
In addition, it is important to remove all of the pouches and the ammunition or other accessories from the vest before washing because depending on what you are firing, these can damage the machine.
Repairs for your Vest
If you do damage your vest during washing or during play, you might be able to mend them. If the material can be sewn and you are at home, obviously you can do that but if you are out in the field, you cannot. Duct tape is a great suggestion for an emergency repair and will work for most types of Airsoft vests.

This was pretty much the type of sports shoe I wore until my late teens when I left home and was able to choose and buy my own pair of shoes and being a young fashion critic most of my sports shoes were based on the style and colour, yeah typical female little did I know this was going to change for when I started having a family, my sports participation reduced to taking the kids around to their sports games, my body mass changed as well and with this comfort from a shoe became a top priority.
Anyways let’s come forward quite a few years and many gym/exercise classes later, no longer is there only one particular brand of shoe you have to choose from but the choice can now be overwhelming so it’s fantastic to see sports stores now offering tests to help you choose the right shoe for you, not so much from a brand name but from how your foot responds to the physical exertions you undertake.

If you are heading to Wilmington, Delaware, any time soon then you should definitely check out the Brandywine Zoo. This zoo is made up of 13 acres that are landscaped and beautiful along the Brandywine River. There are many different animals to view from snakes to tigers and more than 150 animals! The Brandywine Zoo is open all year so no matter when you have time off you will be able to plan a visit!
The Division of Parks and Recreation in Delaware manage the Brandywine Zoo and the Delaware Zoological Society supports the zoo. The zoo is committed to excellence and highly specialized care for the animals. Because of this the zoo is a member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.
When you visit the zoo you will be pleased to know that it is both stroller and wheelchair accessible. This means you can take the entire family from babies to grandparents! There are several places for visitors to the zoo to park. This includes free parking on Van Buren Street, which is located behind the Educated Building. Handicapped visitors should park here, as it is the closest to the entrance to the zoo. There is another large parking lot off North Park Drive.
The zoo accepts credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for Zoo admissions, purchases, membership and registration. There is also a Lost and Found section at the zoo. Children who are lost as well as items are taken to the lost and found.
There are a few rules that must be followed at the Zoo. These include not feeding the animals, not smoking on zoo grounds, no pets, no weapons and the like. There are no rain checks or refunds given at the zoo. The Zoo is located at 1001 North Park Drive in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana
If you love animals there is no better place to vacation than in New Orleans, Louisiana . That’s because it’s home to the Audubon Zoo, which is one of the nation’s best zoos. The Audubon Nature Institute operates the New Orleans Audubon Zoo, which is located at Audubon Park . The Zoo hours are 9:30 am – 5 pm daily from early November until late March. The summer hours are 9:30 am – 5 pm on weekdays and until 6 pm on weekends. The zoo is open most days of the year with the exception of the first Friday in May, Mardi Gras Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Admission for adults is $12, seniors age 65 and up are $9 and children 2-12 is $7.
